1. About this page
This page explains how to delete your Thanex account and the data we hold about you. It applies to the Thanex mobile app (iOS and Android) and the early access list on thanex.uk.
Thanex is operated by Thanex Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16426957.
2. How to request deletion
To delete your account and your data, email support@thanex.uk from the address you signed up with. Use the subject line:
- Delete my account
You do not need to give a reason. We will not ask you to justify the request. If you cannot email from your original address, include enough information for us to identify your account, such as the name on the account or the company you signed up under.
3. What gets deleted
When you request deletion, we remove the following:
- Your name and email address
- Any company name, industry, or team size you provided
- Your photos, photo metadata, projects, and team data stored in your Thanex account, where applicable
- Account credentials and login records
- Marketing and product communication preferences linked to your account
Once deletion is complete, your account cannot be recovered. If you sign up again, it will be a new account with no history.
4. What we may keep, and why
We may retain a small amount of information after deletion where the law requires it or where we have a legitimate need to do so. This includes:
- Financial records such as invoices and payment receipts, retained for the period required by UK tax and accounting law
- A record of your deletion request and the date it was completed, so we can confirm the action if you ask later
- Backup snapshots that may contain residual data for up to 30 days after deletion, after which they are overwritten in the normal backup cycle
Anything retained is held under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and is not used for marketing or profiling.
5. Timing
We will action your request within 30 days of receiving it. In most cases it is faster. You will receive an email confirming the deletion is complete.
If you do not hear back within 7 days, please email support@thanex.uk again so we can confirm the request was received.
6. Deleting from inside the app
The Thanex app is in closed testing ahead of public launch in May 2026. A built-in account deletion option will be available inside the app at launch, in the account settings screen.
Until then, the email route above is the supported way to delete your account and data.
